HEAD OF WHOLESALE & RETAIL DELIVERYMain Purpose of Job Role:The position manages and oversees delivery team, ensuring smooth operations of all activities, daily inventory and delivery accuracy. Requires handling and managing drivers, routes, pickers and securing all aspects of inventory for our wholesale clients and retail stores.Duties and Responsibilities: Delegating and assigning tasks and scheduled loads and daily monitoring the working of staff. Ensure timely and efficient movement and loading of trucks carrying various products. Supervise shift allocations and efficiency of drivers and pickers.Ensure products are ready and available for deliveries. Ensure that any materials that are late or holding up deliveries are chased and followed up until we meet obligation of our orders.Enter load information and prepare delivery receipts for each load. Manage accounts and invoicing, including; creating and correcting invoices for accounts as needed based on delivery shorts, product rejects or other issues that arise.Organizing and conducting necessary training activities for the staff and workers.Ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance routines of our vehiclesDevelop inventory management strategies, helping to maintain accuracy of deliveries, controlling quality and costs. Communicate in a timely and effective manner with clients, concerning issues that arise with invoicing, late deliveries, product issues and other related issues that arise, to ensure a high level of customer service.Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including securing purchases from Restaurant Depot.
